I May Accidently Kill Myself

I am from sunny California where Winter time equals rain and fog. Although you can't see in fog, flares on the road and car parking lights were enough to avoid any catastrophes in the winter time.

I have been living in Utah for 5 years now but this is the first Winter where I will actually have to drive in the snow. You are probably wondering how I have avoided driving in the snow for 4 years. It's called walking and I walked everywhere. I may slip and fall on the ice, and I may be freezing as I walk, (especially to work in a skirt) but I would rather walk than drive. If you know me at all, you realize that this is much safer for me (I am pretty clumsy).

Well for the 2nd time in my life (1st time was for a haircut I desperately wanted) I had to drive in the snow to get to work and it was horrible. I didn't see a single snow plow on the road and the roads appeared as if they had also not seen a snow plow.

This is what driving in the snow felt like.

This is more realistic of the road conditions.

If I am able to get to work safely everyday this winter season without accidently killing or injuring myself it will be a miracle. Wish me luck!
